Product detailed description
In the game Vyšší společnost, you aim to become the most respected member of high society – acquiring expensive wine, fashion, parties and ostentatious extravagances that boost your social status. But beware: in the highest circles, it is not only prestige that counts, but also the ability not to spend everything you have.
Each luxury card is auctioned in an open auction. Players bid using banknote cards from their hand; bids cannot be withdrawn and, if you win the auction, the banknotes used cannot be returned to the game. Is another luxury really worth most of your fortune?
As well as luxury cards, the game also features scandals and unexpected expenses, which can damage your reputation. Some cards add points, others take them away – and together they create a delicate balance between reward and risk.
At the end of the game, the player with the highest social status wins – but only if they haven’t ended up with the least money of all. Anyone who has spent too much is automatically eliminated, regardless of their points. High Society is a fast-paced and elegant auction game full of tension, reading your opponents and clever money management.
