Smíšený les: Dartmoor – Exmoor is designed for anyone who has enjoyed the base game Smíšený les: Dartmoor and wishes to enrich their games with new cards, additional strategic options and greater variety. It cannot be played on its own, as it uses the rules and components of the base game. It is designed for 2–5 players, the recommended age is 10 years and over, and you should allow around 60 minutes per game. The new elements naturally build on the familiar mechanics, so you won’t need to learn any extensive new rules. You’ll particularly appreciate this expansion if you’re already familiar with the base deck and want to discover new combinations with every game. This gives your favourite game greater variety without losing its accessibility.

The Exmoor expansion builds seamlessly on the game Smíšený les: Dartmoor and expands its landscape with additional plants, animals, caves and heathland. Each of the added cards brings new possibilities for linking the effects of individual species and creating even more sophisticated scoring combinations. You’ll be looking for further interconnections between cards, making better use of the space in your forest, and adapting your strategy to the current selection in the clearing. Although the expansion significantly increases the game’s variability, it retains the clarity and pace of the base game. A major new feature is the set of five new caves, which replace the caves from the base game during set-up and introduce different starting effects as well as new options for the final scoring. Other cards expand the use of the clearing, add new ways to play cards for free, and extend the collections of individual species, such as dragonflies or ponies. This gives you more strategic options without the need to learn more complex rules. Exmoor thus naturally builds on everything that makes Mixed Forest: Dartmoor such a popular game, and offers you yet another reason to return to the Dartmoor landscape in future games.

Smíšený les: Dartmoor – Exmoor was released in 2025 as the first expansion for Smíšený les: Dartmoor. The original publisher is Lookout Games. The expansion builds directly on the base game, adding new cards and gameplay options whilst retaining all the core mechanics.

The expansion was designed by the German game designer Kosch, who also created the base game. The illustrations were once again provided by the Spanish illustrators Toni Llobet and Judit Piella, whilst the graphic design was created by Klemens Franz and the Austrian graphic designer Andrea Kattnig. Thanks to the same creative team, the expansion seamlessly continues the look and feel of the base game.
