Product detailed description
Potěmkinovy vesnice is a clever and challenging co-operative trick-taking game by Petr Čáslava (co-author of the board game Kutná Hora), set against the backdrop of Catherine the Great’s famous journey to Crimea.
Players take on the roles of historical characters who, together, build, rebuild and relocate fictional villages along the Dnieper River to create the perfect illusion of prosperity. By winning tricks, you trigger your characters’ unique abilities – the Governor boosts the Builder’s actions, whilst the Painter changes the trumps, requiring absolute team coordination.
With just 54 cards, this game offers simple rules, smooth gameplay, high replay value and a strong atmosphere, where everyone wins only if the Tsarina remains enchanted right up until the very end.
The exceptional qualities of this concept are also evidenced by prestigious awards from the international competition on BoardGameGeek, where the game proudly took top spots in the categories of best co-operative game and graphic design.
The game Potěmkinovy vesnice contains: 45 numbered cards, 16 role cards, 2 hint cards, and 1 set of rules in Czech and Slovak.
